Custom Pool Builder in Simpsonville, SC

Inground pools designed around your Simpsonville lot, from the grading plan to the last gate latch, by a family-owned builder from Easley.

Designed Around Your Simpsonville Lot

Every Simpsonville backyard is a little different. Some are flat and open, others slope toward a tree line or sit close to the neighbors. Fireside Pools & Spas starts with a free on-site consultation, then turns what we measured into a photorealistic 3D design, so you can judge the pool's size, the steps and the deck before you commit.

We're a family-owned pool company based in Easley. Our licensed crews build gunite, fiberglass and vinyl liner pools, keep you posted with weekly updates during construction, and install the pool fence as well.

City Permits and Greenville County Grading Rules

Simpsonville's residential development guide is clear that installing an in-ground pool requires a city permit. The same guide says reshaping or moving earth calls for a grading permit, and some grading projects also need a Land Disturbance Permit from Greenville County's Land Development Division.

That matters on a pool job, because excavation and deck work move soil. Grading is something we look at during design, not after the dig starts, and the permit paperwork is part of what we handle for you.

A Simpsonville mailing address doesn't always mean city limits. Homes in unincorporated Greenville County are permitted by the county, where residential pool applications require three approved inspections: grounding and pool bonding, an electrical final and a building final.

Gunite, Fiberglass or Vinyl Liner?

Here's how the three compare for a Simpsonville family:

  • Gunite is the pick for unusual shapes, raised walls, swim-outs and built-in spas. It's a permanent structure, and construction usually runs 8–14 weeks.
  • Fiberglass arrives as a one-piece shell from Imagine Pools, a line we're authorized to install. It's the lowest-maintenance option and typically the quickest of the three to get in the ground.
  • Vinyl liner keeps the upfront cost lowest while still giving you a custom shape. Expect to replace the liner every 7–12 years.

Compare them side by side in our gunite vs. fiberglass vs. vinyl comparison, read about each type on our pools page, or browse finishes, tile and coping on pool selections.

Fences, Hot Tubs and Outdoor Kitchens

Because we build the pool fence ourselves, the barrier, the gates and the pool layout are drawn together and installed on one schedule.

Want a spa too? We're an authorized Garden Leisure dealer, and our team takes care of hot tub delivery, placement and electrical. For cooking and entertaining, we design and install Bull outdoor kitchens as an authorized Bull dealer, along with fire features, patios and retaining walls. See our hot tubs and swim spas and outdoor living pages.

Simpsonville Pool FAQs

Does the City of Simpsonville require a pool permit?

Yes. The city's residential development guide lists a swimming pool permit as required for installing an in-ground pool. We take care of the permit paperwork for you.

Will grading my yard need its own permit?

It can. Simpsonville requires a grading permit when earth is reshaped or moved, and some grading projects also need a Greenville County Land Disturbance Permit. We review this while your design is being drawn.

What if my home is outside Simpsonville city limits?

Then Greenville County issues the permit. Its residential pool permits need three approved inspections: grounding and pool bonding, an electrical final and a building final.

Can I finance a pool for my Simpsonville home?

Yes. Financing is available through Lyon Financial, and we can go over the options at your consultation.

Do you clean pools in Simpsonville every week?

We don't. Fireside designs and builds pools, spas and outdoor living spaces and doesn't offer weekly cleaning. Our pool owner guide has care tips and the cleaning company we recommend.

Other areas we serve: Greenville, Spartanburg, Greer, Powdersville.
